API Platform Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain platform capabilities supporting API delivery, governance and developer enablement.
• Develop and support APIs and integrations using REST, GraphQL and modern API standards.
• Enhance developer experience, contributing to next-generation developer portal and full-stack capabilities.
• Implement authentication and authorisation patterns across APIs and platform services, including identity models.
• Build secure, scalable and reliable cloud‑native services on Azure and Google Cloud.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver features, improve reliability, performance, observability, and maintain technical documentation and code quality.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in platform, backend or full‑stack engineering.
• Strong knowledge of API design, integration patterns and lifecycle management (REST, GraphQL).
• Experience with authentication and authorisation (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, RBAC, service‑to‑service security).
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (Azure or Google Cloud) and modern engineering practices (CI/CD, DevOps, Agile, Git).
• Proficiency in server‑side languages (e.g. Go, Node.js, Python, TypeScript) and exposure to modern web technologies (React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS).
• Excellent problem‑solving, security mindset, communication skills, and awareness of emerging trends (API platforms, identity, AI, automation).
