I am currently helping our client seeking a Developer to join the team in HK.
Duties:
Design and develop robust in-house applications, while planning and executing unit, functional, and integration testing based on defined business requirements.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive development documentation, including system design specifications, test plans, and test results.
Perform end-to-end system analysis, development, testing, and implementation for new features as well as system enhancements.
Provide second-line technical support in collaboration with first-line support teams, and work closely with internal IT teams (such as Database Administration and Infrastructure) to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments for proposed system solutions, and present clear, well-reasoned recommendations to the business.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Hands‑on experience with C# or Java, Linux, shell scripting, Excel VBA, and SQL.
Minimum of three years' relevant experience in the investment banking or securities trading industry, preferably with direct exposure to the development and support of middle-office or back-office systems for equity trading.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and results-oriented mindset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
