I. Project Overview
The State of Colorado (CO Judicial) is seeking an Application Developer to complete a scope of work related to a homepage redesign and improvements to the site's search capabilities. This role requires managing website content and ensuring optimal functionality, security, and accessibility standards.
II. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update website content, including text, images, and multimedia elements, using the Drupal Platform as the Content Management System (CMS).
- Assist in the placement of website content, ensuring consistency, accuracy, appropriateness, and timeliness of content and graphic standards (e.g., WCAG accessibility compliance).
- Communicate and implement service-related links to other County departments and/or Federal, State, and Local agencies.
- Ensure website security by regularly updating software, plugins, and themes, as well as implementing security protocols and monitoring for vulnerabilities.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to website functionality, server configuration, and user access, working closely with IT support and external vendors as needed.
III. Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web development languages and frameworks.
- Deep proficiency in Drupal search engine technologies, specifically Solr.
- Proven experience with front-end development within the Drupal Platform and web hosting environments.
- Knowledge of website security best practices, including SSL/TLS encryption, firewalls, and malware detection/prevention.
