Established in 1963, Heep Hong Society is a leading children education and rehabilitation organisation committed to helping children and youth of diverse needs. Our 1,300+ strong team serve more than 15,000 families every year at over 60 service units, as well as mainstream kindergartens, primary and secondary schools.
Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in the full development cycle, including coding, testing, rollout & maintenance
- Proficiency in API design, JSON transformation, SQL, and scripting using Python or equivalent technologies
- Solid experience with Azure Cloud and containerized application environments
- Know-how to use AI tools to facilitate system development effectively
- Strong skills in designing automated test units and system performance enhancement
- Provide application support for different applications
- Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise
- Maintain detailed documentation, including API, system architecture, design diagrams, and release notes, etc
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Requirements:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- A minimum of 2-4 years of solid, hands-on experience in system development
- Hands-on experience in system development using Python, R, Microsoft .NET Framework (ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#.NET), RESTful APIs, GraphQL, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JSON, and JavaScript (Node.js and React.js)
- Solid experience in the administration and maintenance of databases, including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, and MongoDB
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline (e.g., GitHub) and automated rollout procedures
- Experience in online form development, workflow engines, and message gateway technologies is an advantage
- Experience in managing data exchange and integration across heterogeneous systems
- Knowledge of Azure cloud services, Kubernetes, and Docker container platform is a plus
- Knowledge of Android and iOS mobile application development and deployment would be an advantage
- Knowledge of CRM, SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power BI tools would be an advantage
- Experience with AI technologies (e.g., integrating LLM APIs, development of RAG frameworks, or deploying machine learning models)
- Proactive, with strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking ability, and a willingness to learn and address issues at their root cause
- Strong team player, “can-do” mindset and professional work approach
- Good communication skills in both spoken and written Chinese and English
