Senior Application Engineer - Angular

About the Role
As a Frontend Engineer, you'll be instrumental in developing and enhancing our Angular-based application, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences that drive business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality Angular components for our SwiftRe® platform
- Collaborate with Technical Squad Leads on solution design and implementation
- Create reusable UI components that meet our high standards for quality and performance
- Implement responsive designs that work across multiple devices and screen sizes
- Optimize application performance and ensure code quality through testing
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement
- Work with integrated systems across Swiss Re's value chain
- Ensure all development meets high security and compliance standards
About the Team
You'll join an agile squad working on SwiftRe®, our Azure Cloud-based application with a worldwide user base. Our platform is highly integrated into the full value chain of Swiss Re, including core legacy services, and utilizes state-of-the-art technology stacks. We operate in an agile environment where team empowerment is our highest value, fostering innovation and continuous learning.
About You

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Strong experience with Angular development (version 19); 10+ Years experience
- Proficiency in TypeScript and familiarity with Redux patterns and NgRx
- Experience building reusable UI components and working with component libraries
- Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience in UI/UX solution design collaborating with dedicated designers
- Knowledge of cloud-based applications, particularly in Azure
- Understanding of security and compliance requirements in financial services
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of the reinsurance industry or financial services sector
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
