Application Engineer (Semiconductor)

Overview:

A fast-growing deep-tech company is seeking an Application Engineer to work on modelling next-gen semiconductor devices and engaging directly with leading global chip manufacturers.

What you’ll do:

• Model advanced semiconductor devices (process flows, layer structures)
• Translate customer requirements into modelling workflows
• Develop device models and data analysis recipes
• Lead technical discussions on device architecture in customer meetings
• Collaborate with software, algorithm, and data teams

About you:

• MSc/PhD in Physics, Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years within a leading semiconductor manufacturer or metrology provider
• Strong understanding of device architecture & fabrication processes
• Python skills (clean, functional coding)
• Confident communicating complex technical concepts
• English fluent (Mandarin/Korean a plus)

You will report to the Application Team Lead, ideally work from the Eindhoven office, and travel to customer sites (in Asia) approximately quarterly.
