Senior Application Full Stack Developer – Inventory Management, VP

Position Overview
As part of the Inventory Management Applications Suite, the Senior Application Developer leads very high‑volume, low‑latency enterprise multi‑tiered Java applications to provide cutting‑edge solutions for the Stock Record and related applications in the Capital Markets domain while following industry best practices and Citi standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide application management and solution technology leadership:
- Responsible for design and development as a full‑stack Java developer to build very high volume low latency enterprise applications.
- Responsible for delivery of application technology solutions and data information planning effort, owns the technical development environment.
- Help ensure high quality software delivery by providing guidance on testing strategy, technical consultation to plan/design performance testing, and providing feedback for tuning performance and other non‑functional elements of the application.
- Migration of application functionalities from monolithic WebLogic systems into an ecosystem of microservices.
- Understand the client requirements and envision the solution captured as user stories in JIRA.
- Present architecture and design impacts to stakeholders.
- Manage functional and technical requirements while deciding on technical solutions.
- Develop solutions following established technical design, application development standards and quality processes in projects.
- Build test automation suites to reduce the regression effort of the QA team.
- Identify existing system bottlenecks and devise robust solutions.
- Interact with other stakeholders including end‑user clients, project managers, business analysts, offshore developers, QA and cross‑functional teams.
- Drive the design and development of system architecture, work with stakeholders and enhance the quality of deliverables.
- Work with Production Service/Support to resolve issues.
- Stay up‑to‑date with new development tools and strategies.
- Ensure that the requirements are properly analyzed prior to planning implementation.
- Ensure design and development meet customer specifications with high quality and coverage.
Mandatory Skills
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Java Developer handling end‑to‑end solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in Angular UI/UX development.
- 5+ years of experience in WebLogic EJB development.
- Experience working in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced global environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- 5+ years of Oracle RDBMS design and development with PL/SQL, triggers and performance tuning.
- Experience migrating Oracle RDBMS to cloud and NoSQL databases.
- 5+ years of ETL experience with tools such as Talend, Informatica, Spark, etc.
- Experience with microservices architecture using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud configuration, Netflix OSS components, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, ZooKeeper, AWS, etc.
- Strong experience with Java concurrency and thread‑safe code.
- Experience with JTA, transaction management in high‑volume low‑latency applications.
- Knowledge of relational and non‑relational data models and SQL semantics.
- Hands‑on experience with Core Java, MVC pattern, Spring Framework, and JavaScript.
- Understanding of network infrastructure (HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, proxies, B2B links).
- Experience using JMS with Tibco/IBM MQ middleware.
- Experience with Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring JMS, Spring JDBC, Spring Security.
- Experience with Java front‑end frameworks such as Angular, React, jQuery.
- Experience with WebLogic 10 and 12c servers.
- Experience in Agile/SCRUM development.
- Experience in SDLC and application development best practices.
- Experience with Docker, MongoDB, Cassandra, Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Swagger.
- Experience in multi‑threaded Java programming.
- Experience with Test Driven Development.
- Experience writing stored procedures, packages, functions.
- Experience with code versioning tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, Subversion, Perforce.
- Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, UrbanCode, Maven, Gradle.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience supporting Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana stack.
- Industry recognized technology certifications in AWS, Data Warehousing or Oracle RDBMS.
- Experience developing and deploying applications to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, PCF).
- Experience in the Capital Markets domain.
