Senior Application support engineer (Ayers/Sharp point or other OMS, Financial)

Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line production application support for Equity, Futures, Mutual Fund, Virtual Asset trading, and related operational systems.
Deliver timely resolution of production incidents by coordinating with internal teams and external system vendors, with a strong focus on equity and futures trading platforms.
Perform incident management and change management , including root cause analysis and preparation of incident reports for management review.
Conduct system health checks to ensure stability, availability, and performance across local and global markets.
Plan and execute internal testing for system upgrades and enhancements in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage production deployments.
Provide B2B application support to business partners and external stakeholders.
Offer phone or remote production support outside normal office hours when required.
Assist in application development and enhancement projects, including requirement clarification and deployment coordination.
Supervise junior support team members and provide technical guidance to the development team (for VP-level candidates).
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
Minimum 3 years of experience in application production support , preferably within the financial services or brokerage industry.
At least 1 year of hands-on first-line support experience using Ayers, Sharp Point, or other Order Management Systems (OMS).
Solid understanding of equity and futures trading workflows , settlement processes, HKEX rules, and global market connectivity.
Experience working in brokerage firms or trading system vendors is highly preferred.
Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving production system issues in live trading environments.
Hands-on exposure to system deployment, release management, and production environment support.
Technical knowledge of:
SQL queries and database troubleshooting
FIX protocol
Windows and/or Linux environments
VMware or virtualized infrastructure
Backup, monitoring, and reporting tools
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with end users, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
