About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to support mission-critical banking applications in a production environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Core Java, production support, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with hands-on experience using monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace. This role focuses on maintaining application stability, troubleshooting production issues, deploying code changes, and ensuring high system availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide production support for Java-based enterprise applications.
- Develop and implement code changes, bug fixes, and enhancements.
- Deploy application changes into production following established release processes.
- Monitor application performance and system health using Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents.
- Perform incident triaging and root cause analysis (RCA), coordinating with cross-functional teams as needed.
- Participate in the on-call support rotation every 4 5 weeks.
- Ensure application reliability, stability, and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve system availability.
Required Skills
- 3 5 years of experience in Java Application Support or Java Production Support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Core Java.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment.
- Hands-on experience with Splunk for log analysis and monitoring.
- Experience with Dynatrace or similar Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools.
- Good understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts.
- Experience handling production incidents, troubleshooting, and incident triaging.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting ATM applications, banking systems, or financial services applications.
- Knowledge of application deployment and release management.
- Familiarity with enterprise production support best practices.
