Job Description
- Oversee full SDLC activities, covering enhancements, upgrades, and new feature delivery
- Drive requirements discussions with business users and translate needs into clear documentation
- Analyse solutions and produce system design options with feasibility insights
- Coordinate development tasks, micro‑design work, and manage delivery timelines
- Communicate with client IT teams to ensure smooth system integration and rollout
- Support end‑to‑end testing, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure stable production deployment
- Provide ongoing application maintenance and recommend improvement opportunities
- Prepare and maintain project documentation for knowledge sharing and reuse
- Assist in change management to ensure smooth implementation for both client and development teams
The Successful Applicant
- Skilled in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JSP, NodeJS or .NET
- Hands‑on with HTML/JS/CSS, responsive UI, and modern frontend frameworks (React/React Native a plus)
- Familiar with Tomcat, WebSphere, Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD practices
- Knowledge of Azure, containers, Docker, Kubernetes/AKS
- Experience working with SOAP and RESTful APIs
- Strong SQL experience across databases such as Informix, DB2, Oracle
- Agile project experience is highly preferred
- Background in insurance or public-facing web applications advantageous
- Strong communication skills, proactive, and able to work independently
- Cantonese-speaking with English reading/writing ability preferred
