ABOUT THE ROLE

An apprenticeship is a great way to kick start your career. With combined formal learning and on-the-job training, your journey will be supported by a great crew and professional training team. You will continue to grow and develop your skills and experience that will lead you into a skilled tradesperson.

This role is a four‑year fixed‑term contract, commencing on a 4‑day roster before transitioning to a shift roster, DIDO to our Boddington Bauxite Mine.

• Apprenticeship: Apprentice Electrical
• Location: Bauxite Mine, Boddington
• Qualification Outcome: Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
• Commencement: December 2026 - January 2027

Accountabilities

• Demonstrate commitment and conformance to safe work practices and procedures
• Represent South 32 and yourself in a professional manner both internally and externally, including involvement with TAFE and secondments
• Progress your apprenticeship by demonstrating commitment to on-the-job learning and TAFE off-the-job requirements
• Attend all scheduled mandatory TAFE training

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Live within a one-hour commute of site
• Completion of Year 11 (minimum)
• Completion of Year 12 (highly desirable)
• Participation in, or completion of, a relevant pre-apprenticeship (highly desirable)
• A good academic and attendance record
• Demonstrated desire and/or experience in the chosen field
