Our client, a leader in electrical and mechanical assembly products, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Assembler to join their team. As an Assembler, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing department supporting the production of high-quality electrical assemblies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent reading comprehension of technical documents, and a commitment to quality workmanship, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Assembler
Location: Charleston, SC
Pay Range: $22-$23, depending on shift
Shift: 6am - 2:30pm or 2:30pm - 11pm, Monday through Friday
What's the Job?
- Reading and interpreting documents related to mechanical assembly, including blueprints, bill of materials, and diagrams
- Collecting parts and accessories, then assembling fabricated parts to build units such as Low Voltage Switchgears, Switchboards, and Power Panels
- Using common tools and equipment like hand and power tools, wire strippers, pliers, and crimpers
- Performing electrical tests, continuity checks, and point-to-point verification to ensure proper assembly
- Maintaining accurate production and quality records, adhering to safety policies, and following manufacturing procedures
What's Needed?
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of electrical wiring methods and assembly techniques
- Basic understanding of electrical components and circuits
- At least 2 years of experience building assemblies and wiring components
