ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Checks Bill of Material (BOM) to determine assembly and any specific requirements for the kit being built.
- Checks stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners for the particular build. Checks for designated packaging. Contacts material handler if shortages exists or incorrect parts are in bins.
- Assembles components while verifying that components are correct to the description called for on the BOM.
- Packs finished product into designated packaging along with any required instruction sheet into each carton of the finished product.
- Labels and stages the finished product to be received into the system.
- Resolves assembly and packing problems with direction from supervisor.
- Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
- Wears all protective equipment as required.
- Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization.
- All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to read, write and speak effectively to read and describe manuals, orders, processes and procedures.
- Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply and apply basic mathematical and reasoning skills.
- Ability to lift 20-30 pounds semi-regularly and up to 45 pounds on occasion with the dexterity to handle small pieces while assembling.
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time while performing these tasks.
- Ability to pay attention to details and follow verbal and written instructions
