The Client Development & Engagement (CDE) function sits at the heart of the Firm’s growth strategy, bringing together business development, marketing, events and communications. Working closely with Partners, practice leaders, and cross functional teams, CDE supports high impact initiatives such as pitches and RFPs, strategic marketing and communications, and practice level business initiatives. The team leverages data, insights, and creative problem solving to help Partners drive sustained growth through repeatable excellence and differentiated client experience.
Job Summary The Client Development & Engagement (CDE) Assistant - Litigation is responsible for working closely with the CDE Litigation team in support of the Firm’s Litigation, Investigations, and Regulatory practices. An integral member of the CDE Litigation team, the successful candidate, will help the team in its support of practice initiatives and with cross-practice collaboration.
Responsibilities Collaborate with Litigation CDE team, broader CDE team, and select professional staff across the Firm in support of team strategies and stakeholder requests
Help support the maintenance of website content, Partner biographies and other Client Development and communications materials across multiple channels
Organize event tracking and follow-up for the Litigation Department
Assist with the preparation of directory submissions and survey responses for various legal and business directories and publications
Prepare and maintain promotional materials, such as brochures, practice area descriptions, rankings and quotes, advertising, posters, flyers and other promotional materials
Assist with distribution of various marketing materials and Firm communications, such as event invitations, ranking submissions, presentation notifications, press releases, summaries and web-related content
Manage data collection and entry for the Firm’s CRM system
Compile competitive intelligence reports and analysis; conduct additional research through database searches, industry resources, and networking as directed
Support practice-specific daily docket-tracking efforts
Assist with Firm-sponsored events and presentations
Collaborate with team on draft pitches, proposal materials and presentations when required
Work with stakeholders in other departments and in other offices as needed
Support Client Development projects and other Firm initiatives as needed
Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred
Major in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Public relations, Pre-law, or related field preferred
Skills & Experience Required
0-2 years of relevant professional experience
Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a highly competitive and demanding environment
Strong attention to detail and self-motivated to produce accurate, timely and complete work product
Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent research and analytical skills
Strong project management skills, initiative and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Ability to begin to leverage institutional knowledge in own work
Proficiency in MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Must be flexible and willing to work overtime and weekend hours as needed
Salary Information NY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 at the time of posting.
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is non-exempt meaning it is overtime pay eligible.
