We are seeking an experienced Associate CSSC Back Office Engineer to join our CSSC Backoffice Water Utility team. This position reports directly to the CSSC Supervisor and will be based in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico. Candidates must be authorized to work in Mexico.
Job Overview This position will contribute to a thriving CSSC Back Office team by providing timely and effective technical advice to incoming inquiries. The Associate Back Office Engineer will deliver a world‑class customer experience by providing technically advanced support and applying established procedures and guidelines, always contributing to maintain and improve customer relationships.
Your main responsibilities - Provide technical assistance to customers regarding product sizing, applications, system solutions, accessories, installations, prices, etc., ensuring the solution's functionality in practice.
- Follow up on customer interactions within the set SLA.
- Process special orders and inquiries in coordination with suppliers.
- Support sales teams by handling tenders and projects, including providing dimensions, specifications, calculations, delivery times, operation and maintenance issues.
- Identify business opportunities and hand over to external sales.
- Ensure customer master data is updated for the portfolio of customers under responsibility.
- Communicate, collaborate, and provide support with the respective product segment or other suppliers when local problem solving is unavailable.
Your background We imagine that you have:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics preferred) or other technical discipline, or equivalent experience in a technical role within the pump industry; 1-2 years of experience.
- High mechanical and electrical ability.
- Ability to support multiple customer requirements in a fast‑paced environment.
- Organized and maintain various files and logs.
- Demonstrated ability to own customer requests and follow them to completion.
- Capable of communicating to a technical or non‑technical audience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- High focus on customer/client.
- Proficient in application engineering, able to assess technical specifications and develop comprehensive bid proposals for pumps and controls.
- Ability to train engineers and customers on pumping technology and products.
- Experience with controls and control systems is valued.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
