About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Audio Algorithm Engineer to join our Leuven-based team and contribute to the design and development of advanced audio algorithms. You will work at the intersection of signal processing, machine learning, and hardware integration, bringing innovative audio solutions to millions of end users worldwide.
What You Will Do
- Design and develop audio algorithms for playback and recording applications
- Work on advanced audio features such as: Speaker protection, Amplifier control, 3D/spatial audio, Noise suppression & Echo cancellation
- Contribute to solutions combining: Classical signal processing, Machine learning / AI-based approaches
- Use lab equipment to acquire, validate, and organize audio data — including electrical signal measurements and laser-based acoustic measurements — supporting the data pipeline for algorithm development and ML training
- Collaborate closely with hardware and software teams across global sites to integrate algorithms into real silicon: Goodix hardware platforms, Leading SoCs, Systems featuring custom DSPs and NN accelerators
- Collaborate closely with international teams across Europe, Asia, and the US
Your Profile
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Audio Engineering, or similar
- Strong foundation in: Audio signal processing, Python or MATLAB
- Hands-on mindset with interest in: Lab work and measurement setups, Data collection and organization for ML workflows
- Fluent in English (working language in a global team)
- 0–4 years of relevant experience (new graduates are warmly encouraged to apply)
Nice to Have
- Experience with C programming (e.g., for DSP or embedded implementation)
- Background or interest in acoustics
- Personal affinity with audio (e.g., musician, audio enthusiast)
- Exposure to machine learning for signal processing
