Overview
Purpose of the role: To design, develop and improve software, utilizing various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver high‑quality software solutions using industry‑aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
Design code that is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, actively contributing to the organization’s technology communities.
Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
Act as an Assistant Vice President by advising and influencing decision making, contributing to policy development, and ensuring operational effectiveness.
Lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, coach employees, and manage performance outcomes.
Demonstrate the four LEAD behaviors:

Consult on complex issues, provide advice to People Leaders, and support the resolution of escalated issues.

Communicate complex information, including sensitive content, to stakeholders and influence or convince them to achieve outcomes.

Qualifications
Experience in full‑stack engineering – Backend: Java, Spring Boot, REST microservices.
Frontend: Angular, HTML/CSS/TypeScript.
Database: SQL (Oracle/MS SQL) and advanced query optimization.
Cloud‑native delivery: OpenShift, containers, Linux, and Git.
Strong understanding of OO design principles and refactoring complex systems.
Agile/Scrum experience with test‑driven development.
SBL / Equity Finance experience, including borrowing/lending workflows, recalls, returns, marks, collateral, booking flows, lifecycle events, and vendor gateway interactions.
Working knowledge of broader Capital Markets and Front Office trading processes.
Ability to operate in high‑pressure environments with traders and senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to diagnose production issues and deliver tactical and strategic fixes.
Excellent communication – comfortable explaining technology to business and vice‑versa.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with event‑driven architectures, caching patterns, and messaging (Kafka/Solace).
Exposure to workflow automation, inventory optimization, or funding optimization models.
Experience with DevOps, containers, observability tooling, and scalable distributed systems.
Knowledge of Prime Financing ecosystem.
