Job Details:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Data Engineer/AWS Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in AWS cloud technologies, database platforms, and data orchestration/workflow tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong AWS background and be comfortable working with cloud-based data environments.
Mandatory Requirements
- Strong hands-on AWS experience mandatory and the primary focus of the role.
- Solid database experience AWS RDS is strongly preferred; candidates with other database technologies may also be considered.
- Experience with data orchestration/workflow tools, preferably:
- Apache Airflow
- AWS Step Functions
Good-to-Have Skills
- AWS RDS strongly preferred.
- Terraform preferred, but not mandatory.
- Snowflake good to have, but not mandatory.
- HVR good to have, but not mandatory.
- Experience working with AI tools good to have.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have genuine, hands-on AWS experience and be able to work independently in a technical environment. Candidates with strong AWS expertise should be prioritized over profiles that are primarily focused on Snowflake or other technologies with limited AWS exposure. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate their technical knowledge and independently handle technical interview discussions.
Sourcing Focus
- Please prioritize AWS-focused candidates with genuine, hands-on experience.
- Do not prioritize candidates who are primarily Snowflake-focused and have only limited AWS exposure.
- Candidates without RDS can still be considered if they have solid experience with other database technologies.
- Snowflake and HVR should be treated as secondary skills, not core requirements.
Interview Expectations
- Candidates should have genuine hands-on technical experience and be able to explain their work confidently.
- Candidates must be able to handle technical interview questions independently, without relying on another person, another screen, AI tools, or external assistance.
Overall Priority
AWS hands-on experience > Database/RDS + Airflow/Step Functions > Terraform > Snowflake/HVR/AI tools
