The project:
Our client in the Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage sector, is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer to strengthen their team.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Engineering
- Design, deploy and maintain secure, scalable and resilient AWS infrastructure.
- Build and manage cloud landing zones following enterprise architecture and security standards.
- Implement highly available networking, compute, storage and platform services.
- Support infrastructure modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery and operational resilience of cloud platforms.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management and lifecycle management.
- Standardize reusable infrastructure modules and deployment templates.
- Promote Infrastructure as Code best practices across engineering teams.
DevOps & CI/CD
- Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure and application deployments.
- Automate build, deployment and release processes.
- Implement GitOps practices and deployment automation.
- Improve deployment reliability, consistency and rollback capabilities.
Cloud Operations & Platform Engineering
- Manage AWS platform services including networking, identity, monitoring and security.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure health, availability and capacity.
- Implement proactive monitoring, alerting and observability using CloudWatch and related tooling.
- Support incident management, root cause analysis and continuous service improvement.
Security & Compliance
- Implement cloud security best practices and AWS Well-Architected Framework recommendations.
- Configure IAM policies, security groups, VPCs and network segmentation.
- Support vulnerability remediation and infrastructure hardening.
- Ensure compliance with internal security standards and governance policies.
Performance & Cost Optimisation
- Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability and cost efficiency.
- Monitor cloud consumption and recommend optimization opportunities.
- Support FinOps initiatives and cloud governance.
Is this you?
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering or DevOps.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on AWS Cloud experience.
- Strong experience designing and operating production AWS environments.
- Experience managing enterprise infrastructure within large organizations.
- Experience collaborating with Infrastructure, Security and Operations teams.
