Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Specialist to design, develop, and manage scalable cloud-based applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS services, infrastructure as code, backend development, and system design, along with solid knowledge of databases, networking, and security practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services
- Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS Lambda, ECS, and event-driven architectures
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK and CDK for Terraform (CDKTF)
- Design and optimize data platforms using Amazon Redshift and Amazon RDS
- Develop serverless workflows leveraging SQS, SNS, and EventBridge (Schedulers)
- Contribute to system design and application architecture ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
- Build and maintain APIs and backend services using Python, TypeScript, Java, or JavaScript
- Handle database design, transaction management, and administration
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries
- Ensure security best practices, including cryptography and encryption mechanisms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for solution design and implementation
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure and applications
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for deployments
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills: Python / Java / JavaScript / TypeScript
Hands‑on experience with:
- AWS Lambda
- Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS)
- Amazon Redshift
- AWS SQS (Queue Messaging Services)
- AWS SNS (Notification Services)
- Amazon EventBridge (Schedulers)
Infrastructure as Code expertise with:
- AWS CDK
- CDK for Terraform (CDKTF)
Proficiency in SQL and database management
Strong understanding of:
- System Design
- Application Architecture
- Distributed Systems
Knowledge of:
- Networking concepts: VPCs, Subnets, Routing, Firewalls, Cryptography and data security principles
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of container orchestration and Docker
Familiarity with CI/CD tools:
- Jenkins
- GitHub Actions
- Azure DevOps
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
AWS certifications:
- Solutions Architect
- Developer Associate
Soft Skills
