What are we looking for?
A Kafka Developer to join a stable international project, based in Madrid.
Responsibilities:
• Take ownership of the relationship with our infrastructure provider and software
vendors to understand their roadmaps and implement required new Kafka solutions
(compatibility, vulnerabilities, obsolescence).
• Provide best practices around streaming concepts and design appropriate streaming
solutions.
• Create monitoring and observability tools and dashboards to ensure cluster health.
• Develop automation capabilities using scripting and appropriate tools (development,
SLA alerting).
• Support application teams in adopting and complying with Kafka platform
standards.
• Propose CI/CD optimizations for all deliverable artifacts.
• Monitor and tune Kafka environments to ensure high availability, high cluster
performance, scalability, and workload management.
• Provide technical advisory for architectures based on event-driven solutions (design
patterns, data governance, security, infrastructure).
Requirements:
• Expertise in Kafka environments (components) and Kafka Connect (Sink &
Source).
• Expertise in integration components: Event-Driven IBM IDR, MirrorMaker.
• Experience with API tools: Apigee, REST Proxy Producer.
• On-premise and Cloud experience.
• Advanced CI/CD skills: Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform.
• Development: Java / Spring Boot, Shell, Python.
• Methodology: Agile.
• Tools: AKHQ, Lenses, ELK.
• Fluent English communication.
