Job Summary (List Format):
- Develop and maintain highly scalable, high performance, and highly available systems.
- Write well-tested, efficient, and readable production code, primarily in Python.
- Structure code for reusability and adhere to best practices in source control and CICD.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables independently.
- Ensure solutions align with overall team deliverables and produce thorough documentation.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings; complete tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- Design and interact with NoSQL databases (especially DynamoDB); experience with relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
- Build serverless systems using AWS Lambda, ECS, and orchestration tools like AWS Step Functions.
- Develop event-driven architectures using message queues and topics.
- Apply and implement relevant design patterns in system architecture.
- Utilize AI-assisted coding tools (such as Cursor, Claude Code, or CoPilot).
- Demonstrate solid understanding of git, unit testing, test-driven development, and CICD practices.
- Preferably experienced in defining, packaging, and deploying cloud resources with AWS CDK.
- Preferably knowledgeable in deploying/managing services in Kubernetes.
- Preferably experienced in building AI applications on platforms like Bedrock, Vertex AI, or Azure AI, and familiar with LangChain, vector databases, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Participate in agile processes (stand ups, planning, estimating, demoing).
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with media file container formats or media/video engineering is a plus.
- Mandatory skills: AWS Lambda, Python.
- Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience; 3+ years of production coding in Python; 3+ years of AWS production experience.
