Senior Backend Developer – Spring Boot / Kafka / Kubernetes

- Must be based in Strasbourg, or willing to relocate before starting
- Remote working is only possible from Strasbourg (no remote from other cities/countries)
- Open to EU nationals only
Budget: €400 per day, all inclusive
We are looking for a senior backend developer to join a strategic project building modern, event-driven microservices and distributed systems.
Mandatory
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field
- Deep hands-on expertise with Spring Framework & Spring Boot, specifically in distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of Kafka (or IBM Event Streams) and PostgreSQL
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in CI/CD and version control: Git, GitHub, GitHub CI/CD
- Understanding of DevSecOps and software development best practices
- Proven ability to perform deep technical analysis and produce clear documentation for complex systems
- Experience with large-scale web applications and the seniority to guide architectural decisions
- Istio and SonarQube are expected; however, truly outstanding candidates with strong solid experience may be considered without them
