Rate: €4500-€480/day

A leading organization in the Energy & Utilities sector is seeking an experienced Back-End Java & Cloud Engineer to join a modern, cloud-native engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work across customer-facing applications, API platforms, microservices, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps environments, leveraging the latest Java and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, document, and deploy Java-based backend applications and API services
Build scalable microservices using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot 3.x
Develop and maintain cloud-native applications on Azure (AWS experience also considered)
Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform or similar IaC tools
Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments through Kubernetes
Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines or GitLab Actions
Collaborate with Functional Analysts to resolve incidents and deliver robust solutions
Participate in operational support and on-call/guard-duty rotations
Drive technical innovation by proposing modern architectures, tools, and engineering best practices
