In this role, you will take ownership of back-end development and system performance, working on mission-critical platforms that support real-time client interactions and data flow. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering disciplines to solve complex technical challenges and contribute to the continuous evolution of the organisations technology stack.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure client-facing web systems
- Design and implement back-end APIs and core business logic for new features and enhancements
- Build and manage integrations between hardware systems, mobile applications, and web platforms
- Monitor, maintain, and optimise cloud databases, servers, and system performance
- Manage and maintain DevOps pipelines to ensure continuous integration and delivery
- Respond to system incidents and ensure minimal downtime through effective troubleshooting
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver cohesive solutions
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years experience in back-end or software development
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Java and frameworks, such as Spring Boot
- Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
- Strong database experience (MSSQL, MySQL, and cloud databases)
- Experience in API development and system integration
- Exposure to .NET and full stack development is advantageous
