Job Summary Senior Backend Developer (Java & Kafka)-
Lead Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot for critical logistics and yard management workflows.

Event-Driven Architecture: Architect and implement resilient, event-driven integrations leveraging Apache Kafka, including topic management, consumer groups, and messaging workflows.

System Integration: Build scalable integration patterns for both internal and external systems using modern messaging, batch processing, and data synchronization techniques.

Database Optimization: Design and optimize PostgreSQL database models, write complex queries, and implement indexing strategies for high-throughput applications.

Cloud & DevOps Deployment: Deploy and support cloud-native applications on AWS (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, S3) and contribute to CI/CD automation pipelines.

Technical Leadership: Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, promote engineering best practices, and ensure compliance with security and observability standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, UX Designers, and business stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment to refine requirements and resolve production issues.

Continuous Improvement: Champion technical excellence and contribute to ongoing process and technology enhancements within the engineering team.

Qualifications:- 8+ years of enterprise Java development experience (5+ years in Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices)
- 3+ years of hands-on Apache Kafka experience
- Strong PostgreSQL (or similar) skills in database design and performance optimization
- Experience with AWS core services and DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, SonarQube)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or comparable experience)

Preferred: Experience in transportation/logistics industries, knowledge of frontend frameworks (Angular), Schema Registry/Avro, and enterprise security protocols (OAuth2/OIDC, Azure Entra ID).
