Node.js Backend Developer
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Node.js Backend Developer to design, develop, and support scalable, secure, and high-performing backend applications for enterprise banking platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and production support.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js/NestJS.
- Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of secure coding and software engineering best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Banking or Financial Services.
- Exposure to Kafka, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native development.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Nice to Have: React/Angular exposure, Open Banking, Payments, and DevOps automation experience.
