Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Backend Developer (Python FastAPI) role based in the Greater Hyderabad Area. The Backend Developer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security for a multi-tenant SaaS platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing existing modules, integrating with internal and external systems, and collaborating with product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps engineers. The role involves writing clean, testable code, reviewing peer code, troubleshooting production issues, and improving system reliability and observability. The developer will also participate in architecture discussions, contribute to technical documentation, and help evolve backend best practices aligned with Hospixo’s AI-driven hospitality ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Strong back-end web development skills with hands-on experience in Python, FastAPI, RESTful API design, and microservices architecture.
- Solid software development foundations, including software design patterns, version control (Git), testing frameworks, and CI/CD practices.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and their application in designing reusable, modular backend components.
- Programming expertise in Python and familiarity with complementary technologies (e.g., SQL/NoSQL databases, message queues, caching).
- Basic understanding of front-end development workflows (e.g., working with React/Angular/Vue teams, API contracts, JSON formats).
- Comfort working with cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms, high-availability systems, or data-intensive applications is highly beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
