The AFP has a requirement for one experienced Database Developer to work with the CTO Transition Program to assist in the delivery of key elements of ES-WAMS.
About the Role
The Services, delivered in collaboration with and under the supervision by nominated AFP personal consist of the following:
Responsibilities
- Transaction of supplied data schemas into Django models.
- Development of access control mechanisms.
- Development of views/filter/search functionality for data models based on user requests.
- Development of data workflow and transition functionalities.
- Development of a Web API to access stored data via a given URL in a supplied format.
- Development of automated build, test and deployment, using Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery and deployment technologies agreed to by the client.
- Work effectively in a small team environment.
- Provide knowledge/skills transfer to other team members.
- Record and maintain files/information in accordance with the Clients requirements.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry certifications.
Required Skills
- Linus Operating Systems.
- Experience with Git / Version Control Systems.
- DevOps Automation Process.
- Writing for and deployment using Docker/Kubernetes.
- Postgres and SQL/MySQL skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in bringing solutions together and are adaptable to evolving future requirements.
- Ability to mentor junior staff and provide guidance on solution development/integration best practice.
- Familiarity with test-driven development and standards for the production environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of organisational staff.
- Ability to work in a small team environment.
