CONSULTFIZ LATAM, a fully owned subsidiary of Confiz LLC, is looking for a Backend Engineer with strong experience in Java-based systems and modern cloud technologies.
This role focuses on building scalable and high-performance backend systems supporting Supply Chain and warehouse management platforms, leveraging microservices architecture, messaging systems, and cloud infrastructure, working with a Fortune 500 retail client.
MEXICO ONLY – Applications outside Mexico will not be considered Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend systems supporting Supply Chain services and warehouse management systems.
Participate in design, architecture, and implementation of scalable software solutions solving complex problems.
Define, scope, and estimate work items and technical deliverables.
Ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Maintain high standards for system design and technical documentation.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including frontend, product, and Dev Ops.
Implement and manage microservices architecture and RESTful APIs .
Ensure system reliability, observability, and performance optimization.
Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.
Core Skill Set / Experience Requirements 7+ years of professional hands-on experience in software development Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs Experience with messaging/streaming platforms (Kafka preferred) Strong experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred) Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure tools (Git Lab, Git Hub, Terraform) Experience with test automation (Unit, Integration, Regression, Performance/Load testing) Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (New Relic, Splunk) Experience supporting 24x7 on-call environments Strong understanding of software design principles and system architecture Nice to Have Experience with relational databases (Postgre SQL, My SQL, etc.) Prior experience in Supply Chain or warehouse management systems Understanding of modern warehouse management systems (WMS) Education B. S. or M. S. degree in Computer Science or comparable experience.
