Our vision is to establish Deutsche Kreditbank (DKB) as the choice for an irresistible banking experience. We create intuitive, customer‑centric digital products that make banking a seamless and reliable experience for everyone. As fearless pioneers of the DKB group, our mission is to encourage experimentation and continuously challenge the status quo. Founded in 2018, we collaborate in cross‑functional product teams with colleagues from DKB to build digital solutions for private and business customers. Additionally, we also support in developing software to digitalize processes within DKB, which is used by our own colleagues!

Code Factory has evolved beyond employing just developers. We are the go‑to company for UX and UI expertise, have an in‑house research team, analyse data, and are guided through the complete digital product development by our agile methodologies chapter.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complex backend features end‑to‑end with minimal supervision, ensuring high quality and timely completion.
• Mentor and support other developers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing to boost team capability.
• Take ownership of core functions or domain areas within the team and expand influence across multiple teams.
• Lead efforts to improve team processes, including code quality, testing, and documentation standards.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and fellow engineers to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
• Serve as a technical expert and informal leader, fostering continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in the Java/JVM ecosystem.
• Clear motivation to learn and adopt Kotlin as a primary language, with motivation to grow into it quickly.
• Proven ability to design and implement complex backend solutions simply and effectively.
• Solid understanding of performance, security, and maintainability best practices.
• Experience across full software development lifecycle and CI/CD workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Demonstrated willingness to mentor and support team members.
• Curiosity and commitment to continuous learning and pragmatic problem‑solving.
• Familiarity with Postgres, Kafka, REST APIs, and monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus is a plus.
