Role Summary A Kubernetes Platform Engineer specializing in Voice Services Modernization will lead the design, deployment, and operational support of cloud-native infrastructure for critical voice applications. This senior-level role is responsible for transforming legacy VM-based voice middleware into scalable, resilient Kubernetes environments. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration, automation, and optimized performance of voice services in cloud platforms.

Responsibilities
Assess existing voice application infrastructure, dependencies, and VM-based deployment environments to inform modernization strategies
Design and implement Kubernetes-based architectures tailored for low-latency and high-availability voice workloads
Containerize voice middleware and backend applications, establishing scalable deployment and orchestration strategies
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and lifecycle management of voice services
Create infrastructure automation scripts using Ansible and Terraform to support rapid provisioning and updates
Deploy, configure, and support Kubernetes clusters across cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack, or OpenShift
Implement observability solutions such as centralized logging, monitoring, alerting, and dashboards to ensure system health and performance
Apply operational best practices covering security, resiliency, scalability, and production readiness
Support migration planning, testing, validation, and production cutover activities to ensure minimal service disruption
Troubleshoot platform, application, and infrastructure issues in cloud-native environments, providing timely support
Develop operational documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions with engineering and operations teams
Collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams to modernize legacy voice services and optimize deployment workflows

Qualifications
Proven expertise in Kubernetes administration, deployment, lifecycle management, and troubleshooting
Strong experience with Ansible, including role and playbook development
Extensive experience in CI/CD pipeline creation, automation, and deployment strategies
Proficiency in cloud platform management including AWS, Azure, GCP, or OpenStack
Skilled in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform
Experience with monitoring, logging, dashboarding, and alerting platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or Datadog
Programming or scripting skills, with Python preferred
Demonstrated ability to support production applications and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues
Deep understanding of high-availability and low-latency application architectures
Knowledge of telecom and voice technologies such as SIP, SBCs, IMS, or voice middleware is advantageous
Familiarity with cloud-native migration strategies from VM environments
Experience with GitOps practices and modern deployment methodologies
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Publishing Pay Range: $50.00 - $55.00 USD Hourly This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
