Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement robust back-end software solutions that support the collection and normalisation of large volumes of global trading data in real‑time and archive modes.
  • Translate high‑level architecture and design models into detailed technical specifications and production‑quality code.
  • Participate in technical design and functional specification reviews, contributing to project estimates, test plans, code reviews and integration with CI systems such as Jenkins.
  • Proactively identify, analyse, and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical issues through profiling using tools such as JProfiler and Yourkit, testing, and root‑cause analysis.
  • Troubleshoot problems by analysing code and large data sets using AI tools like GitHub Copilot and Linux commands/scripts, as well as logs using Splunk, Datalog, and Grafana.
  • Collaborate with global collaborators and multi‑functional teams to ensure data completeness, accuracy, and resilience across network and server environments.
  • Provide technology trends and competitive‑landscape expertise and make technology decisions to drive opportunities and competitive advantage for clients.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of software development experience with strong core Java expertise in a Linux environment.
  • Experience with network programming (e.g., TCP/UDP) and low‑level data processing, including byte‑level encoding and decoding.
  • Proven ability to work with large data sets, complex data structures, and high‑volume data manipulation and sorting.
  • Proficiency in Linux and scripting, as well as in tools such as Git, Confluence, JIRA, and IntelliJ.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial markets or trade surveillance environments.
  • Familiarity with AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of SaaS platforms and private cloud architecture.
