We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to support a greenfield infrastructure automation platform. This person will collaborate with the Infra Automation team to design and develop scalable backend services and automation workflows to accelerate internal infrastructure delivery.
Responsibilities- Design and build backend systems for infrastructure orchestration
- Write clean, maintainable code using Python, Java, or similar OO languages
- Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to build internal tools and services
- Develop interfaces with various database systems (SQL/NoSQL)
- Build automation that runs reliably on Linux-based systems
- Proficiency in Python or Java (experience with both is a plus)
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Strong experience with Linux environments
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB)
- Exposure to Rust is a plus
- Familiarity with messaging architectures, caching technologies, streaming and/or transaction processing systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable with multi-tasking, context switching in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with the financial services industry
- Knowledge of infrastructure systems and automation is desirable. Strong coding skills – Python, PowerShell are required
- Experience with Windows and Linux based operating systems, Cloud-based services and infrastructure (AWS), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Configuration Management (Ansible)
- Experience with container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS and ECS
- Self-motivated individual with great communication and interpersonal skills, and a very strong sense of ownership
