Senior Backend Python Engineer | Dublin | 6-Month Rolling Contract Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite) 6-Month Rolling Contract Stelfox is working with a growing Dublin-based organisation seeking an experienced Senior Backend Python Engineer to join their engineering team on a long-term contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on business-critical platforms, designing and building scalable backend applications, APIs, and services that support key strategic initiatives across the organisation. You'll be joining a collaborative Agile environment where you'll have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, contribute to architectural discussions, and help drive engineering best practices. Key Responsibilities Developing and maintaining high-quality Python applications and services Designing scalable REST APIs and backend solutions Translating business requirements into effective technical solutions Collaborating with Product Owners, UX teams, Architects, and Software Engineers Troubleshooting performance issues and improving system reliability Participating in code reviews and mentoring junior developers where required Driving continuous improvements across development and deployment processes Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of commercial Python development experience Strong experience with Flask and/or Django Solid Linux/Unix experience Strong SQL and relational database expertise Experience building and supporting RESTful APIs Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and development tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and Artifactory Experience working within Agile delivery teams Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills If you are interested in this role, click 'apply' to send an updated copy of your CV to Honey Rathore or email for more details.
