Pave Talent is hiring on behalf of our client, a global technology company whose B2B SaaS platform runs in more than 40 markets worldwide. You'll join an established engineering team near Montreal that ships features used by enterprise customers around the world.
- Backend engineers who own the full lifecycle: design, build, deploy, monitor, and support their own services
- People who move comfortably between Java and Python in the same week
- Engineers who treat production as their responsibility and fix issues fast and transparently
- Clear communicators who work directly with product managers and technical account managers
If you want a greenfield project or a fully remote setup, this is not your role. This is hybrid, hands-on work on a large, evolving production platform.
This is a full-time, 4-month contract (30+ hours per week). You'll implement B2B customer features, integrate long-standing core systems with modern services, and keep a large-scale platform stable across global deployments. Extension or conversion is possible but not guaranteed; treat this as a true contract engagement.
The interview process is fast and defined: a 30-minute experience conversation, then a 60-minute technical interview. Two rounds, done.
- New backend features in Java and Python, driven by enterprise customer requirements
- Integrations that connect existing core systems with modern services to improve performance and maintainability
- Technical specifications and implementation plans translated from product requirements
- Cloud-native deployments on Amazon Web Services (AWS) managed with infrastructure-as-code
- Production monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting in Datadog
- Daily collaboration with engineers, product managers, and technical account managers across teams
- 3+ years of backend development experience, ideally on a large production system
- Proficiency in Java and Python with strong object-oriented fundamentals
- Solid experience with MySQL or another relational database management system (RDBMS)
- Hands‑on AWS experience deploying and maintaining cloud-native applications
- A track record of resolving production issues quickly, transparently, and effectively
- Datadog or similar observability tooling
