Job Summary
Con Edison is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer with strong experience in both front-end and back-end development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable web applications, data processing solutions, and database systems. This role requires expertise in modern web technologies, ETL processing, and integration of front-end applications with legacy backend systems. The candidate should be proficient in version control using GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and agile development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications and APIs.
- Build scalable backend services using Python and Java technologies.
- Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks and web technologies.
- Create and maintain ETL processes for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.
- Integrate front-end applications with legacy and modern backend systems.
- Develop and optimize database solutions using Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Implement automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow software development best practices.
Required Skills
Strong experience with Core Java and Python Programming. Hands-on experience with Flask and/or Django frameworks. Proficiency in JavaScript, including: Node.js Express.js Socket.IO NPM Experience with: HTML5 CSS3 RESTful APIs Strong knowledge of: Apache Kafka Apache Spark ETL Processing Experience with databases: Oracle 11g PostgreSQL SQLAlchemy Proficiency in: Linux Shell Scripting Nginx GitHub CI/CD Pipelines Experience working with: Pandas NumPy Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with C# and .NET technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong teamwork, collaboration, and work discipline.
