Engineer (Backshift)Salary: £44,600 per annum Location: Lanarkshire Shift Pattern: Backshift (1:00pm - 9:30pm)Our client is a well-established and growing food manufacturing business operating from a modern production facility in Lanarkshire. Due to continued investment and expansion, they are seeking an experienced Engineer to join their maintenance team on a permanent backshift basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced FMCG environment, supporting production through both planned preventative maintenance and reactive engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned maintenance activities in line with the site's maintenance schedules and systems. Respond promptly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime. Complete and maintain all maintenance records and documentation accurately. Monitor and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring parts are stored safely and correctly. Keep production and departmental supervisors informed of breakdowns and maintenance progress. Participate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance technical capabilities. Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and promote a proactive safety culture throughout the site. Experience Required: Electrical engineering experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment. Experience working with automation systems. Full UK driving licence and access to own transport. Advantageous: 18th Edition qualification. Experience with PLC control systems.
