Temporary Part-Time Program Assistant
RMU Bands is looking for a temporary part-time program assistant to help organize and execute performances at a variety of athletic events throughout the fall semester. This position will be filled until a new Full-time Band Director is hired.
Responsibilities
- Assist in instruction of the show band and auxiliary, along with pep and jazz bands and wind ensemble
- Supervise students at performances, rehearsals and trips.
- Help to coordinate performances for athletic, university and community functions.
- Represent the band program at recruitment and orientation events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience in relevant work experience with college-aged students.
- Knowledge of instrumental music and band presentation. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Ability to assist with producing show-style marching band, pep bands, jazz and wind bands. Strong customer-service orientation. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Required to Pass a Motor Vehicle Report Check.
