About the Role
We are seeking an experienced BSP Development Engineer with expertise in embedded graphics and real-time operating systems to join our client's engineering team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Board Support Package (BSP) development, GPU driver development, embedded graphics using OpenGL, and multi-core processor architecture .
The successful candidate will work on safety-critical embedded platforms, contributing to the design, development, and optimization of low-level platform software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Board Support Package (BSP) software.
- Develop and optimize GPU and graphics drivers for embedded platforms.
- Implement embedded graphics solutions using OpenGL/OpenGL ES .
- Work with multi-core processor architectures, shared memory, cache hierarchy, and memory controllers.
- Analyze system performance, resource utilization, and Worst-Case Execution Time (WCET).
- Develop and optimize software running on Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), preferably Epic DEOS .
- Troubleshoot and resolve low-level platform, graphics, and driver-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality embedded software solutions.
- Support performance tuning, debugging, and system optimization.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Board Support Package (BSP) development .
- Hands-on experience with Embedded Graphics using OpenGL/OpenGL ES .
- Experience with GPU or Graphics Driver Development .
- Strong knowledge of Embedded C/C++ .
- Experience working with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) .
- Practical experience with Epic DEOS is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of:
- Multi-core processor architecture
- Shared memory
- Cache hierarchy (L1/L2/L3)
- Memory controllers
- DDR memory
- Performance monitoring and optimization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WCET (Worst-Case Execution Time) analysis.
- Knowledge of Quality of Service (QoS) and performance counters.
- Experience with cache partitioning and resource isolation.
- Familiarity with FAA AC 20-193 or similar safety-critical certification standards.
- Experience in Aerospace, Avionics, Defense, Automotive, or other embedded systems domains .
