Job Summary:
The BI / Data Visualization Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining business intelligence solutions, dashboards, reports, and executive-level visualizations that aid leadership decision-making. This role involves transforming complex data into actionable insights through intuitive visual analytics and reporting tools.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise dashboards and reports.
- Build data visualizations supporting financial, operational, research, and portfolio performance analysis.
- Develop executive-facing dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with customers to gather reporting requirements and define key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting.
- Support self-service analytics capabilities and semantic data models.
- Optimize dashboard performance and usability.
- Develop reporting standards, templates, and documentation.
- Conduct user training and provide analytic support to business users.
- Support modernization of legacy reporting systems.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, or related field.
- 3+ years of BI and dashboard development experience.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or comparable visualization platforms.
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Experience creating executive-level reporting and visual analytics products.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with financial and budget reporting.
- Knowledge of data modeling and dimensional design.
- Experience supporting federal or defense organizations.
- Familiarity with cloud-based analytics environments.
