Canonical is recruiting a Software Engineer passionate about technology and collaboration. Your role will involve writing, testing, and debugging Python code to enhance Ubuntu features in the cloud. The position promotes efficiency and quality, with selective in-person events for team bonding and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write and maintain quality code for feature development
• Debug and resolve software challenges collaboratively
• Review contributions from other engineers for improvement
• Engage in discussions to find innovative solutions
• Travel 2 to 4 weeks a year for team events
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline
• Extensive Python experience specifically on Linux
• Interest in Ubuntu administration and public cloud solutions
• Familiarity with CI processes and packaging
• Experience with the open source community advantageous
