Key Responsibilities
- Improve sand casting / iron casting processes and production yield.
- Troubleshoot casting defects such as porosity, NCU, core shift, over-grinding, inclusions, and dimensional issues .
- Conduct process audits and ensure foundry process controls are followed.
- Analyze production, scrap, yield, and defect trends using data-driven methods.
- Work with complex core assemblies, material flow, and production tracking .
- Analyze machining feedback and Pareto defect maps to identify foundry root causes.
- Lead 8D, Root Cause Analysis, DOE, CAPA, and continuous improvement activities.
- Understand casting drawings, machining drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and specifications .
- Support new product validation, process development, and production ramp-up .
- Drive improvements in yield, throughput, quality, and production efficiency .
- Communicate effectively in English and Spanish .
