Senior Cisco SDA L3 Engineer

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cisco SDA L3 Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise Software-Defined Access (SDA) and Intent-Based Networking (IBN) environments. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical expert for complex network deployments, L3 escalations, automation, and network security integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA) solutions for wired and wireless enterprise networks.
- Implement multi-site SDA fabrics, including Fabric Domains, Control Plane Nodes, Border Nodes, and Edge Nodes.
- Lead greenfield and brownfield SDA implementations, including migrations from traditional networks to SDA Fabric.
- Configure and integrate Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for policy enforcement, 802.1X authentication, TrustSec, Scalable Group Tags (SGT), endpoint profiling, TACACS+, and RADIUS.
- Provide L3 support for complex networking issues involving LISP, VXLAN, multicast, endpoint mobility, and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Automate network provisioning, software upgrades, and operational workflows using Cisco DNA Center (Catalyst Center), Python, and REST APIs.
- Prepare High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), migration documentation, and operational runbooks.
- Mentor L1 and L2 engineers and provide technical guidance during project delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of enterprise networking experience.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco SDA and Cisco DNA Center (Catalyst Center).
- Strong expertise in:
- Cisco SDA Architecture
- Cisco DNA Center / Catalyst Center
- Cisco ISE
- Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series Switches
- Cisco Catalyst 9800 Wireless Controllers
- Strong knowledge of:
- Underlay protocols: OSPF, IS-IS, BGP
- Overlay technologies: VXLAN, LISP, EVPN
- Enterprise routing, switching, wireless, and network security
- Experience with network automation using Python and REST APIs.
Certifications
- Active CCNP Enterprise certification (mandatory).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and mentoring skills.
