- 8+ years of professional experience in enterprise Microsoft SQL Server engineering and production management.
- Proficiency in Azure SQL Managed Instance and modern cloud database architecture.
- Experience with Terraform for developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
- Experience in building automated database CI/CD pipelines and schema deployment workflows.
- Experience with PowerShell or Python for automating database provisioning and operational maintenance.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and observability tools for proactive system monitoring.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.
- Architect and optimize Azure SQL Managed Instance and high-scale Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Engineer Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform to automate the provisioning of all database resources.
- Implement automated CI/CD pipelines for database schema changes and configuration release management.
- Execute advanced SQL performance tuning including query optimization, indexing, and resource contention resolution.
- Develop actionable telemetry and monitoring dashboards using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics tools.
- Configure robust database security controls involving encryption, auditing, and role-based access management.
- Design and maintain automated backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure platform resiliency.
