Job Summary:
The Cloud Developer 3 role involves full stack development on existing web and Windows applications used by internal staff and constituents. The position requires expertise in cloud services programming and design, particularly with Microsoft Azure technologies. The developer will analyze, design, and code new applications, lead technical efforts, and collaborate with various team members to meet customer requirements. This role demands extensive industry experience and the ability to work independently and provide leadership.
Responsibilities:
Required Skills & Certifications:
- 7+ years experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Storage, Azure SQL, and Cosmos DB.
- Proficiency with Azure API Management, Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards), and Identity & Access solutions (Azure AD, OAuth2, OpenID Connect).
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills with modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue and state management libraries (Redux, MobX, NgRx, etc.).
- Expertise in responsive UI implementation (HTML/CSS), REST and GraphQL client-side integration.
- Experience with .NET Core/.NET 7+ or Node.js, REST API design, and microservices architecture.
- Event-driven design experience using Azure messaging services.
- ORM experience (Entity Framework, Sequelize, Prisma) and advanced SQL Server query writing.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, clean architecture, domain-driven design (DDD), SOLID principles, and API documentation standards (Swagger/OpenAPI).
- Security best practices including secure secrets management and zero trust principles.
- Ability to mentor developers, lead technical discussions, and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, sprint planning, and technical roadmap design.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (AKS).
- Automated testing frameworks and test strategy design expertise.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Azure Data Factory integrations.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform.
- Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
