We are looking for passionate and committed Technology Consultants to join our Technology Strategy Consulting Capability

The BSG Exchange (our Johannesburg location) is situated in the Oxford Glenhove Precinct, within walking distance of the Rosebank Gautrain station.

This role delivers high-impact technical execution in cloud infrastructure and Dev Ops automation.

Main Purpose of the Role

The Cloud & Dev Ops Engineer independently designs, implements, and optimizes secure, scalable systems across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Supporting both client delivery and internal capability growth, this role is key to ensuring technical excellence, innovation, and mentorship within the engineering team.

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems (Honours preferred)

EXPERIENCE

5+ years in Cloud & Dev Ops engineering roles Proven experience with CI/CD, Ia C, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical communities Strong background in scripting (Python, Bash, Power Shell) Design and implement complex cloud architectures and CI/CD pipelines Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues Ensure high availability, security, and performance of client solutions

Capability Development: Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge bases Lead by example in adopting best practices and automation

Client Engagement: Participate in technical discovery and solution design with clients Contribute to reusable frameworks and accelerators

Operational Excellence: Optimise cloud resource usage and reduce operational costs Track and report on system health and performance metrics CI/CD and Ia C (Terraform, Jenkins, Git Hub Actions) - Advanced Scripting and Automation - Advanced Monitoring and Observability - Intermediate Communication and Documentation - Advanced Technical excellence and continuous improvement You are a technically curious, solutions-driven engineer who thrives in dynamic environments. You enjoy solving complex problems, mentoring others, and continuously learning. You take pride in delivering high-quality, secure, and scalable systems that drive real value for clients.
