Principal Cloud DevOps EngineerJob SummaryWe are looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer who will have a holistic approach to systems when driving the definition, building, deployment, and operations of Solera applications in close collaboration with Dev, QA and Ops peers.
This individual will lead the creation and evolution of our CI/CD pipelines for deployment and operations of solutions across Solera's various environments, which may include on-prem or cloud systems.

The team is composed of experts in DevOps, DataOps, Production Operations, IT, and Security, and is a global operation with support around the clock.Your RoleLead the transition of legacy/manual deployment processes to a completely automated DevOps ready postureOwnership of the CI/CD pipeline for deployment and operations of Solera AWS footprint in an agile and fast paced environmentCreate and maintain the continuously evolving Solera DevOps CI/CD pipelines across Dev, QA and ProductionCreate and maintain all cloud resources with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Maintain stability across all environments with IaCDevelop cross‐functional team strategies towards higher organizational throughput via automation and flexible processesDesign and create reliable continuous deployment solutions that yield higher availability and uptime for our internal and external customersManage operational cost with optimal resource utilization across on‐prem and cloud services, including evolving capacity planningHelp the team balance and plan longer‐term projects against the demands of a fast‐changing environmentEnforce security policies by ensuring vulnerabilities are tracked and timely addressedDiagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Solera environmentsSupport Dev and QA teams along the steps of the Software Development Life Cycle by maintaining environments and toolsMaintain and develop documentation to facilitate understanding of products, features, and tools, including training materialParticipate in rotations as necessary in a 24x7x365 organizationMinimum QualificationsB.S.
or M.S. Degree in Computer Science/Computer Information Science or equivalent (M.S. highly desirable)8+ years of experience driving CI/CD for systems being deployed to cloud providers (proficiency with AWS services and associated setup/operations)8+ years of experience in a 24x7x365 global SaaS/PaaS operation8+ years of experience with virtualization and Docker containersProficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, batch, bash, Python, or equivalent)Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated proficiency with the technologies in our stack and 8+ years of experience in a large portion of the tools and technologies we leverage, particularly CI/CD and Infra stacksHigh sense of urgency and ownershipGreat pride in helping teams and individualsCompetence in building and designing complex systems leveraging multiple technologies (legacy and new)Ability to ensure consistency in line with industry best practices for CI/CD, code quality, operational readiness, and securityStrong organizational skills in a fast‐paced and fast‐changing environmentDriven, self‐motivated to learn and ramp up fastCandid and able to hold one's own as the DevOps representative in cross‐functional teamsAbility to perform training and knowledge transfersEqual Opportunity EmployerSolera is an equal opportunity employer and federal contractor or subcontractor.
