Duties and Responsibilities:
Co-ordinate the management of Path to live and non-path to live environments. Prepare and maintain runbooks and knowledge bases to support future environment triage requirements.
Plan and schedule releases across multiple applications and portfolios, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business objectives
Manage release and environment activity schedule/calendar, including upstream dependency planning across IT delivery units or functions
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing updates on schedules, responsibilities, and release status
Continually work towards making improvements in the release and environment management processes.
Scheduling/co-ordinating DevOps team support for projects and BAU releases.
Technical Expertise:
A demonstrable understanding of the full Software Delivery Lifecycle.
A demonstrable ability to co-ordinate cross-functional release workstreams .
Previous release/or project management experience (a solid understanding of project management principles preferred).
Previous experience in operations, environment or development roles.
Has experience working closely with IT Development, DevOps and Environment teams to define and deliver release and environment governance.
Has experience of continuous delivery, software configuration management, version control and release management.
Has demonstrable experience in the timely delivery of medium-large scale development programmes/projects.
Strong analytical and management skills.
Interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in/Knowledge of:
Experience of ITIL and IT Management systems, such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.
Experienced in Cloud Computing services concept across AWS and Azure.
An understanding of Version control solutions, specifically GitHub/Azure Repos.
Working within Agile teams using Scrum & Kanban or other Lean methodologies.
Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CSM, Azure or AWS may be preferred
