About the Opportunity:
Where you will make an impact
- Support team leads in the development and improvement of automated provisioning and configuration pipelines
- Continuous development and contribution to standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles to support enterprise-wide knowledge sharing as technologies change
- Structure and build abstract conceptual ideas into working solutions
- Smooth collaboration amongst cross functional peer teams to support delivery of services and products
- Define and deconstruct existing solutions with an eye towards automation and scaling using established CI/CD methodologies
- Collaborate amongst cross functional teams to create and present software requirements, including specifications, drawings, and design diagrams.
- Ability to translate requirements into specific job tasks and deliverables for the purpose of automation and scaling.
- Track and report all work using Jira and other company wide tooling for project updates
What you will bring
- 1-3 years’ experience in DevOps using tools/languages such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, and Bitbucket
- Ability to work effectively with end-users and teammates, to gain their confidence, understand their technical and operational needs, and translate them into viable technical solutions
- Demonstrated understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Experience with current scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash/sh.
- A drive towards automating repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Ruby, Python, Bash/zsh).
- Ability to learn complex system architectures and interworking cloud/software systems.
- Strong understanding of command-line tools and distributed version control systems such as GIT, GitFlow, SVN, TFS.
- Strong verbal and written skills, high attention to detail.
- Strong preference of Linux background.
